Christmas tradditions

         Every year on Christmas, my Grandma and Aunt come over from my Dad's side to exchange gifts. They stay over for a long time, which is always fun!! We don't just exchange gifts they stay over for dinner and desert!!! On Christmas day, my brother and I open our gifts under the Christmas tree!!! After, my family goes over my Granparent's house on my Mom's side. We also exchage gifts. My family stays over for lunch dinner and desert! I LOVE Christmas not only because I receive gifts, but because my family gets together and has a nice time. :)

About me

     Hi, my name is Ashley, and I have a passion for dancing! I take five dance classes every week and I enjoy it! Dancing is a big part of my life.
     Something very weird about me is that I hate chocolate except for milk chocolate candy. Some things that I dont like are: chocolate cake, chocolate icing, and chocolate ice cream.
     My favorite subject is Art. I love to draw things, such as cartoons and flowers. My favorite part about it, is that I can have fun with what I am drawing.
     My  least favorite subject is reading. I am not a big fan of reading, only when I like the book. I only like to read it mystery and fiction. I really don't like reading when it's for school or when some one picks the book out for me!
   

Holiday Traditions

      On December 24th and 25th, which as you know is Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, which is also my favorite holiday. On Christmas Eve my Grandma and my Aunt come over from my Dad's side to have meals and exchange gifts and stay over really late, which is alwasy fun. On Christmas Day I open up my gifts from under the Christmas tree. (the best part) After that my family and I go to my Granparents house on my Mom's side to exchange gifts and have lunch dinner and desert. My grandma is a fantastic cook which makes the meals even more special!! I love how my family gets together and has a nice time that will always be remembered, thats why Christmas is my favorite holiday, well, and the gifts too!!!

Are you proud of your country?

John F. Kennedy once said, "Ask not what your country can do for you , but what you can do for your country." I believe that is a powerful statement because, no one waved a magic wand to give us the America we have today. History tells us that people had enough heart and courage to fight and stand up for what we believe in today.
  Today, we tend to think that, ipads, cell phones, and jewlery are prize possessions. However, we should actually stop and think about the priceless gifts left to us from so many years ago. Democracy, Freedom of Speech, the right to vote, no slavery and the wish for peace,are big gifts that we have because people had the courage to stand up for what they believed in. These hero's didn't take no for an answer, they fought and didn't give up and that is what i am proud of because they had so much bravery and courage to make America a better place.
   I admire the selflessness of the men and women that choose to become soldiers and go out to the foreign countries and fight for our freedom. The soldiers and thier families know that they are risking thier lives for us, yet they still go out and fight.
   As I learned about the tragedy of September 11th 2001, and watched the details on TV, I realize that the average person came together with firemen, police, and other emergency rescuers giving everything they had to try and save the victoms.
  the question is, am I proud of my country? I am more than proud. I am thankful for all of the hero's and the helpers and the average person coming together as one to make America a better place, stand up for what they believe in and always helping eachother side by side as one nation!!

Halloween

I love Halloween!!! It's my second favorite holiday!! Of course I love it because of all the candy. This Halloween I am going to be a mummy. I think mummies are really awesome! On Halloween I am going to go trick or treating with my friends. We going around the block and farher that we get a full bag, that weighs 100 pounds, and we can't even lift it! I feel like the handles are going to brake off! Usually my grandparents, and my aunt come over and we have dinner. They stay really late! Yay! I love Halloween a lot! I can't wait until October 31st!!

ALL ABOUT ME

               My name is Ashley, and I have a passion for dancing. I love todance, dance is a big part of me. I take 5 clases and iI am also in the Chrismas show and the compettion. Dancing is what I love to do best! Other things I like to do are shopping at the mall and hanging out with my friends. I could shop at the mall 24/7. Even if I am not buying anything I still like to walk around and window shop. I love being with my friends. We always have a lot of laughs and have a good time. School is great even though there is a lot of homework. It's a big change. I love changing classes and having more teachers and a lot more kids in the school. There is so many people that I haven't even met yet. I love my family with all of my heart. My favorite is when we all lay down and watch a movie. I love my life and I wouldn't trade it for anything!!
